In French, German and English
Do you need a first-rate English translation of a French or German medical or pharmaceutical text? I create translations that are specially tailored to the specific text, so you can rest assured that your message will get through loud and clear. This includes looking at the text type, target audience and business context, not simply the words on the page. In addition, all my translations are revised by a second native English speaker as standard – just one of the ways I ensure you are getting the best possible service!
In keeping with the SFT Code of Ethics and best practice, I only ever translate into my native language (English). This means my translations flow naturally and never sound ‘like a translation’. If you do need a translation into another language, keep reading and you’ll find what you’re looking for here under ‘Referral’!
More and more texts are being written in English by people who are not native speakers. And in some cases, this can be done very successfully. However, if you need a text to be absolutely perfect, either for publication in a journal or because it will be read by current or potential customers, I offer a full revision service, where I will polish up the text to ensure no mistakes or unusual phrases have slipped through.
If it turns out that your project isn’t quite right for me – either because you need a translation into another language, or because it’s not in the medical field, I would be happy to recommend a number of great colleagues with whom I work on a regular basis. If I’m unable to recommend a specific translator (as I only recommend colleagues whose work I can vouch for), the directories of professional translators on the Institute for Translation and Interpreting and Societe Française des Traducteurs websites are a good place to start.
